Terra Drone Corporation, the world’s leading drone service provider for 2024, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Aramco, one of the largest energy companies in Saudi Arabia. This strategic partnership aims to develop cutting-edge drone, robotics, and AI technologies to enhance safety and operational efficiency in the oil and gas industry.
Under the agreement, Terra Drone will deploy its advanced automated drone inspection platform to replace Aramco’s traditional inspection process, which requires scaffolding and takes two to three weeks to complete. By using drones to inspect storage tanks and other facilities, Terra Drone will significantly reduce inspection time and improve safety by removing the need for human inspectors to access hazardous environments. The drones will capture high-quality images and data in real-time, allowing for quicker, safer, and more reliable inspections.
In addition to this, Terra Drone will collaborate with Aramco on research and development, testing new technologies, and supporting local training initiatives. Through this partnership, Terra Drone will help address industry challenges while contributing to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 by localizing drone services and creating jobs for the local workforce. Terra Drone has already established a branch in Saudi Arabia, Terra Drone Arabia, to localize its services and establish R&D and production facilities in the long term.
This MOU marks the beginning of a strong collaboration between Terra Drone and Aramco, with the goal of driving technological innovation, enhancing operational capabilities, and supporting Saudi Arabia’s broader economic and technological progress.
