The DJI Neo 2, an upgraded version of the budget-friendly drone, has been leaked ahead of its official announcement. Leaker Igor Bogdanov shared details about the drone’s features, pricing, and expected release date.
The Neo 2 introduces a 2-axis camera, potentially using a sensor from the DJI Mini 5, along with enhanced AI tracking and infrared lidar sensors for improved safety and tracking. It also offers quieter flight, thanks to specially designed propellers, making it ideal for discreet filming.

Battery life sees a 15% increase, providing up to 19 minutes of flight time. The addition of upward and backward-facing cameras enhances safety, ensuring smarter navigation and safer returns to home. A new transceiver improves connectivity with DJI remotes via Ocusync, offering better control.
The DJI Neo 2 will be officially announced on October 30, 2025, though U.S. availability may be limited due to regulatory approvals.
