DJI Launches Agras T100 and T70 Drones in China, Pushing Agricultural Innovation

DJI has just dropped three brand-new drones in its Agras series—the T100, T70, and T70P. They are bringing some serious tech to the world of agriculture. For now, these drones are only available in China, but they’re packed with features like AI and augmented reality (AR) that are set to take farming to the next level.

Agras T100: A True Powerhouse

First up is the Agras T100, which DJI is calling its most powerful farming drone yet. With a max takeoff weight of 149.9 kg, this thing can carry a ton of gear like 75 liters of liquid or 150 liters of seeds—making it perfect for larger farms that need serious spraying or planting power.

But what really makes the T100 stand out is the combination of AI and AR. The AI helps the drone avoid obstacles while flying, so you don’t have to worry about it getting stuck in a tree or colliding with something. And the AR feature? It shows you real-time predictions of the drone’s flight path and even where it’s likely to land. It’s like having a virtual assistant guiding the whole process.

Then there’s the spraying system. The T100 can spray up to 30 liters per minute, and you can adjust the droplet size depending on what the plants need. It also has an optional mist nozzle for more precise spraying in areas with thick crops. Plus, it can lift up to 85 kg, perfect for transporting fertilizers or anything else you need to move across the farm.

Plus, the T100 charges in just 9 minutes, so there’s minimal downtime. Which means Less time waiting around and more time in the air.

Agras T70: A Smaller, More Affordable Option

If the T100 feels like overkill for your needs, don’t worry—the Agras T70 might be a better fit. Available in two versions, the standard T70 and the T70P—this drone is designed to be powerful but more affordable.

The T70 can carry 70 liters of liquid and lift up to 65 kg, making it versatile enough for a range of farming tasks. And like the T100, it comes with AI-powered obstacle detection and AR navigation, so you can rest easy knowing the drone’s got your back.

One of the biggest perks of the T70 series? The energy savings. DJI says these drones cut electricity and fuel use by 25%, which adds up over time—especially for large-scale operations. And with a quick 8-minute charge time, you won’t be left waiting around for long.

DJI’s Vision for the Future

Shen Xiaojun, head of DJI Agriculture’s global market, says the goal behind these new drones is simple: make farming smarter, easier, and more cost-effective. he said, “We want to give farmers the tools they need to be successful, with reliable, easy-to-use drones and solid after-sales support.”

For now, these drones are only available in China, but DJI’s global expansion plans are clear. The launch of the T100 and T70 series shows that DJI is serious about becoming a leader in agricultural technology—and it’s only a matter of time before these drones are helping farmers all over the world.
