The latest Hover Air X1 Pro and Pro Max update also includes improvements for the beacon and introduces a major new feature called Co-Pilot, allowing users to adjust height, distance, and angle while the drone is actively tracking. Other updates include a 30m height option in Bird’s Eye mode, new 15m and 30m distance options in Zoom Out, adjustable rotation speed in 360 Spin, RAW photo (DNG) support, CrowdAware smart ascend in Cycling mode, and better height control in Side Track and Dolly Track modes.

Copilot Mode

The new Co-Pilot feature works with both the beacon and a smartphone, allowing real-time adjustments during flight. To use it, the beacon must also be updated by connecting it to the Hover, which will transfer the latest firmware.

Follow Mode

The Co-Pilot feature works in Follow, Dolly Track, and Side Track modes. To use it, you must first enable it in the beacon’s settings for the selected mode. Once active, the beacon’s controls let you adjust the drone in real time: move side to side with the joystick, change distance with the arrows, and adjust height with the right-hand button.

Hover Follow

With the new Co-Pilot feature in Follow mode, the drone can now be adjusted mid-flight instead of landing to change settings. Using the beacon, you can raise or lower the drone, adjust its distance, or shift it side to side—all while it continues tracking you. This creates a hybrid mode that combines tracking with real-time control, making it especially useful for activities like biking, where quick adjustments to height or distance can be made on the go without interrupting recording.

Dolly Track

In Dolly Track mode, the Co-Pilot feature allows real-time adjustments while the drone is tracking. You can raise, lower, or change its distance without interrupting the tracking. The update makes Dolly Track more flexible and practical, enhancing the Hover Drone’s overall functionality. To stop tracking, simply stand still, and the drone will return to you.

Article Summary

The Hover Air X1 Pro and Pro Max update adds Co-Pilot mode, letting users adjust height, distance, and angle in real time during tracking. It works in Follow, Dolly Track, and Side Track modes, with both beacon and smartphone control. Other upgrades include new flight options, RAW photo support, and improved performance, making the drones more versatile and practical.
