If you just picked up the DJI Lito or are planning to, you already know what a great little drone it is. Compact, capable, and surprisingly powerful for its size. But the drone alone is really just the starting point. The right accessories can completely change how you fly, how long your footage looks good, and how well you protect your investment.
I’ve been through a bunch of DJI Lito accessories and below are the ones that actually make a difference, not just the ones that look good in a product listing.
Table of Contents
1. Freewell Standard Day ND Filter Kit for DJI Lito
If you’re serious about getting cinematic footage from the Lito, ND filters are not optional. They’re essential.
The Freewell Standard Day ND Filter Kit comes with six filters: ND8, ND16, ND32, ND64, ND128, and a PL (polarizer). That range covers you in pretty much every outdoor lighting condition, from overcast skies to bright midday sun. Without ND filters, your footage in daylight tends to look either overexposed or choppy because you’re forced to use a shutter speed that’s way too fast.
What I really appreciate about Freewell is the optical quality. The glass is multi-coated, meaning colors stay true and sharp, and there’s no weird tint or color shift when you swap between filters. The filters snap on cleanly and don’t mess with your gimbal calibration, which is a big deal on a drone this size.
The carrying case they include is magnetic and actually useful, not just a throw-in. Everything stays organized, which matters more than you’d think when you’re out in the field.
If you only buy one “serious” accessory for the Lito, this is it.
2. STARTRC Portable Carrying Bag for DJI Lito
This one solved a problem I didn’t realize was annoying me until it was fixed. Before I had a dedicated bag, I was just stuffing the Lito and its accessories into a general camera bag and hoping nothing got scratched.
The STARTRC carrying bag is made specifically for the Lito X1 and the DJI Mini 5 Pro lineup. It fits the drone, the RC 2 controller, batteries, a charging hub, filter sets, and a lanyard strap all in one organized package. The inside uses a double spandex lining with cushioning so your gear isn’t just rattling around.
The outer material is polyurethane, which handles light rain and splashes without any issue. It’s not a hard case, so it’s not meant for extreme drops, but it’s solid enough for travel and outdoor shoots. The non-slip handle and included shoulder strap make it easy to carry whether you’re hiking out to a location or just heading to the car.
It’s compact enough to fit inside a backpack too, which I do pretty regularly when I want everything in one bag.
3. FlySimple Propeller Guard for DJI Lito 1 / Lito X1
If you fly indoors, near trees, or in tighter spaces, a propeller guard is something you’ll be glad you have before you actually need it.
The FlySimple Propeller Guard for the Lito 1 and Lito X1 wraps around the blades with a 360-degree enclosure. It’s built from high-tough material that absorbs impact reasonably well, and the fortress-style shape helps distribute force instead of snapping on contact.
Installation and removal are tool-free and quick, which is important because you won’t always have time to fiddle with something complicated before a shot. The guard is also lightweight enough that it doesn’t completely tank your flight performance, though you will notice slightly reduced agility and transmission range with it on, which is just the nature of propeller guards in general.
One thing worth knowing: after you attach the guard, the Lito goes over 250g, so make sure you’re aware of your local regulations before flying with it on. It’s mainly useful for practice sessions or indoor filming where you’d rather not risk a blade hitting something.
4. FlySimple Landing Gear Expansion Kit for DJI Lito 1 / Lito X1
This one is underrated. The Lito sits pretty close to the ground during takeoff and landing, and on anything that isn’t perfectly flat concrete, that gimbal camera is at real risk.
The FlySimple landing gear raises the drone by about 60mm, giving you a meaningful buffer above grass, gravel, sand, or uneven pavement. It weighs only 32 grams so the effect on flight time is negligible. The fit onto the Lito 1 and Lito X1 is clean, and it uses nylon cable tie buckles so it snaps on and off without tools.
What makes this version especially interesting is that it doubles as a floating landing gear. There are included buoyancy rods that attach to the legs so you can take off and land on calm water. That’s actually a pretty cool feature if you shoot near lakes or rivers. Just note that it’s for calm water only, not waves, and you shouldn’t fly at high altitude with the full floating setup attached because the larger wind surface area affects stability.
For regular use without the buoyancy rods, it’s just a clean, simple landing gear upgrade that protects your drone on every single landing.
5. Craznick Propeller Holder for DJI Lito
This is a small accessory but one of those things you use every single time you put the drone away.
The Craznick Propeller Holder for the Lito is made from soft TPU and ABS material and wraps around your folded propellers to keep them locked in place during transport. Without something like this, the blades bounce around inside your bag and can pick up scratches or get slightly bent at the tips over time. It sounds minor but bent blades affect how the drone vibrates in flight, which shows up in your footage.
The design fits the Lito body without blocking the gimbal cover or visual sensors, which is a detail that not all propeller holders get right. Quick to put on, quick to take off. It just makes the whole pack-up routine cleaner and more confident.
At this price point, it’s the kind of thing you add to your cart without overthinking it.
6. Replacement Propellers for DJI Lito (with Screwdrivers)
Propellers are consumable, plain and simple. If you fly enough, you’ll eventually clip something or land harder than intended and end up with a damaged blade. Having a set of spares on hand means you can get back in the air the same day instead of waiting for shipping.
This replacement propeller pack comes with 32 blades (a good mix of clockwise and counterclockwise), dedicated screws to go with them, and screwdrivers so you don’t need to rummage around for tools. The aerodynamic design is reasonably close to the originals and the noise levels are acceptable. They’re not OEM blades, but they work well for most flying and are good enough to hold over until you can order genuine replacements if you prefer those for long-term use.
The orange tips are a nice visual touch that makes it easier to see your blades spinning while reviewing footage.
Keep a pack in your bag. You’ll thank yourself later.
7. LED Night Flight Searchlight for DJI Lito 1 / Lito X1
Night flying is a different experience entirely, and if you want to do it properly, having some lighting attached to the drone makes a big difference.
This searchlight is built specifically for the Lito 1 and Lito X1. It uses a CREE XPE-R3 LED that puts out 120 lumens, which is enough to illuminate the area below the drone and make your position clearly visible in the dark. The mount is 3D-printed from plastic with foam padding on the contact points, so it won’t scratch the frame. The light is powered by a single AAA battery, which keeps things simple and light.
The whole unit weighs 50g without the battery, which is noticeable but not flight-ruining. You’d mostly use this for low-altitude night footage, checking a landing zone in the dark, or FAA/local visibility compliance when flying at night. It’s not going to light up a stadium, but it’s genuinely useful for what it’s designed for.
It’s a niche accessory, but if you fly at dusk or into the night, it’s a smart addition to your kit.
Final Thoughts
You don’t need all of these at once. If I had to pick a starting point, I’d go with the ND filter kit and a carrying bag first, then add the landing gear and propeller holder. The rest depend on how and where you fly.
The DJI Lito is a capable drone that gets even better when you take care of it properly. Good accessories don’t just add features, they protect your gear, improve your footage, and make the whole flying experience a lot more consistent. Start with the basics, build your kit over time, and you’ll get a lot more out of the drone you already have.
