DJI has released a brand new range called the LTO range, and today we are checking out the Lito 1, which is the slightly more affordable option in the lineup. A Familiar Feel in a Slightly New Shell
Having reviewed mini drones for years, the Lito 1 feels, looks, and flies very similarly to many other mini drones from DJI. DJI has built an extensive range over the years, including the Mini 4K, Mini 3, Mini 3 Pro, Mini 4 Pro, Mini 5 Pro, and even the Mini SE at one point. So the body and shell of the Lito 1 will feel quite familiar, though it does carry some slight differences in design.
One of the first things you will immediately notice is that it comes equipped with obstacle avoidance sensors, one on top and one underneath. These are fisheye sensors, meaning they can see in every direction, making the Lito 1 a true omnidirectional obstacle avoidance drone capable of detecting and avoiding obstacles from any angle.
Camera System and Image Quality
The Lito 1 features a camera system that has been seen on other DJI drones before. It uses a half-inch sensor with a fixed aperture of f/1.8. You can capture 4K video at 60 frames per second, and there is also the option for 4K at 100 frames per second in slow motion, which is a great addition. Vertical video is available in 2.7K as well, achieved by cropping the footage for those who need portrait-style content.
The sensor is a 48-megapixel unit, which means it can capture 48-megapixel stills, effectively giving you 8K photos. This is a relatively standardized offering at this price point. Nothing wildly innovative here, but it is a very stable, reliable, and consistent camera system that delivers solid results.
It is worth noting that the Lito 1 does offer 10-bit color, however it is limited to the normal color profile. There is no DLOG M and no HDR available on this model. Those more professional features appear to be reserved for the slightly more expensive LTO X1. That said, if you do not need those pro-end features, the Lito 1 becomes an even more attractive option given its lower price while still sharing many similarities with the X1.
Build, Weight, and Noise Level
The DJI Lito 1 does not include internal storage, so you will need to use a microSD card inserted at the back of the drone. This is not a major issue by any means. More importantly, the drone weighs under 250 grams, which is a significant selling point. This has always been a defining characteristic of the Mini drone series from DJI, and the Lito 1 stays true to that tradition, coming in at 249 grams as printed on the battery itself.
One aspect that genuinely stood out was just how quiet this drone is. Operating at 81 decibels, it is unbelievably quiet in flight. You can launch the drone, fly it away, and barely anyone nearby will even notice it is in the air. That level of quiet operation is something that is truly appreciated, especially for those who prefer a more discreet flying experience.
Battery Life and Flight Time
When it comes to battery life, the Lito 1 offers two different options. The standard battery provides up to 36 minutes of flight time, while the Plus battery extends that up to 52 minutes. However, the Plus battery does push the drone over the 250-gram threshold, which is an important consideration.
Depending on the rules and regulations in your country or any travel restrictions you may face, you might prefer to stick with the standard battery to keep things simple and compliant.

Range, Wind Resistance, and Performance
The DJI Lito 1 carries a quoted range of up to 15 kilometers, though this can vary depending on your country and the specific model you purchase. Regardless, you should always keep your drone within line of sight. In terms of wind resistance, the drone holds a Level 5 wind rating, which has now become the standard across DJI’s lineup.
This rating means the drone can handle winds of up to 38.52 kilometers per hour without issue. In practice, it has been tested in gusts reaching 40 to 42 kilometers per hour and handled them impressively well.
Active Track 360
The Lito 1 also comes with Active Track 360. Thanks to its omnidirectional obstacle avoidance system, the drone can follow and track a subject from varying distances, whether closer or further away depending on your preference.
There is plenty of control with Active Track 360, including the ability to choose the direction of tracking and adjust various settings. It is a pleasure to use and adds genuine value to the overall package.
Who Is the DJI Lito 1 For?
At this point, you may be realizing that the Lito 1 is quite a straightforward drone. It is essentially what we have come to expect from the Mini range, presented in a slightly different shell with a rebranded name under the new LTO lineup.
If you have never owned a mini drone before, the Lito 1 is a genuinely excellent entry point. There is no unnecessary fluff here, just a solid core offering with great obstacle avoidance, quiet flight, strong wind handling, and impressive video and photo quality.
It also works very well as a complementary drone. If you already own a larger drone like the Air 3S, the Lito 1 makes a great compact addition to your kit. However, if you already own something like the Mini 4 Pro, there is not a strong enough reason to upgrade to this.
Where it really shines as an upgrade is for those coming from older models like the Mini SE or Mini 2. It is a genuinely exciting step up from those devices, and for anyone looking for a smaller, travel-friendly option, it is absolutely worth considering.
