This is an interesting release because it is a whole new product line. Even though it is a mini drone, DJI has gone for a whole new name here with the Lito X1. So it is not technically in the Mini range, but when you look at it, fly it, and really break it down, this is basically a mini drone.
It is similar to what you would have seen on the Mini 3 Pro, for example, but in a slightly different form factor with some new features that are actually pretty exciting, especially for the price point.

Design and Build Quality
The Lito X1 has a very familiar form factor. It looks quite similar to other mini drones like the Mini 4K, Mini 3 Pro, Mini 4 Pro, and Mini 5 Pro. They all share a very similar look with variations in design, and so does this one, but overall the body looks quite comparable.
The first thing you will immediately notice are the sensors that are clearly visible. There is a very clear fisheye sensor that gives a really great field of view on both the top and underneath, which handles the obstacle avoidance. On top of that, you also get lidar on the front, providing low light nightscape omnidirectional obstacle avoidance.
This means the Lito X1 can avoid obstacles in any direction and is also really competent in low light scenarios, such as after sunset, during a morning sunrise, or on an overcast day. The forward-facing lidar gives you complete peace of mind knowing the drone is reliable when returning to home and when trying to avoid obstacles in challenging lighting conditions.

The camera system on the Lito X1 is a great one, though it is a system we have seen before from DJI. It features a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor with a fixed F1.7 aperture, which is really nice for low light capture. You can shoot 48-megapixel stills and capture 8K photos as well.
Comparing it to something like the Mini 4 Pro, you are going to get quite similar video and photo quality from this unit, but at a really nice price point with some additional features that make it genuinely unique.
When it comes to video, the Lito X1 delivers 4K 60fps with HDR video, slow motion 4K recording up to 100 frames per second, and 2.7K vertical video options as well. There is no major compromise here. You are getting really crisp 4K 60fps HDR footage and smooth slow motion performance across the board.
For those who care about color grading and professional output, the Lito X1 also supports Dlog-M 10-bit recording along with the normal color profile in 10-bit as well. Having HDR video, Dlog-M, and 10-bit on an affordable mini drone is something that genuinely was not expected, but DJI has delivered it here regardless.

The nightscape omnidirectional obstacle avoidance is one of the standout features of the Lito X1. In a full tracking gauntlet test comparing the Lito 1 and the Lito X1, the X1 performed slightly better.
During the test, the setup was overcast and extremely dark, and the drone still handled it without any issues. It did not crash and did not bump into anything, which speaks volumes about the reliability of its obstacle avoidance system.
ActiveTrack 360 also worked really well during testing. The drone is incredibly quiet, rated at 81 decibels, but in practice it feels even quieter than that. The moment it launched and hovered, the quietness was immediately noticeable.
It handles the sky beautifully, is smooth in its movements, and has a slightly different sound compared to other DJI drones tested recently. When flying around people, hardly anyone notices it, which makes it a very practical drone in populated environments.
The Lito X1 also has a 15km range, a Level 5 wind rating with 38.52 km/h wind resistance, and waypoints support, which was genuinely surprising to find on a budget-friendly mini drone at this price point.
Of course, 15km range is the best-case figure, and you should always keep your drone close and within line of sight, but it is impressive to see that capability listed here.
Intelligent Flight Modes
The Lito X1 comes loaded with all the QuickShot modes you have come to love from DJI, along with ActiveTrack 360 and MasterShots. It is a very standard and complete offering in terms of intelligent flight features.
The addition of waypoints was a genuine surprise, as this kind of feature is not typically expected on a drone at this price level. Having waypoints alongside Dlog-M 10-bit, HDR video, and ActiveTrack 360 makes the Lito X1 feel like a well-rounded professional tool rather than a stripped-down budget option.
Who Is the DJI Lito X1 For?
The Lito X1 is positioned as a nice replacement and a fresh take on the Mini range. For anyone who has never owned a drone before, this is an amazing starting point. It offers a great price point, reliable and stable flight performance, great video quality, solid obstacle avoidance, and a feature set that will keep you satisfied for quite some time.
If you are upgrading from the Mini 4K, this is a huge leap forward. However, if you are coming from the Mini 3 Pro or Mini 4 Pro, the jump is not as dramatic. There are a lot of similarities between those drones and the Lito X1, as it essentially carries similar cameras and similar obstacle avoidance in a refreshed shell with a new name. It is a clear evolution rather than a revolution in those cases.
It also works really well as a complementary drone if you already own one of DJI’s higher-end options like the Air 3S. It is lightweight, travel-friendly, and capable enough to serve as a solid secondary drone in your kit.
DJI could have easily limited the software or dialled back some features to make this a lesser offering than their other products, but they did not. They kept the core experience intact, did not dumb it down, and delivered a drone with a lot of great features and options available. That is genuinely impressive at this price point.
