If you’re like us and do a lot of screen recordings for videos, being able to easily transfer them from your controller is an essential step in the workflow. Unfortunately, it’s not as straightforward on the RC2 as it is with other controllers like the RC Pro. However, I’m going to show you how to export screen records from DJI RC2 & RC Pro.

DJI RC Pro Export Process
Before we start, make sure you have a spare micro SD card handy and insert it into the bottom of the controller. We’ll start with the RC Pro.
- First, access the main system interface by pressing the Back arrow at the top left of the controller until you reach the main screen.
- Next, tap on the Files icon and ensure that “Internal Storage” is selected.
- Look for the “Movies” folder and Click on it ,this is where all your screen recordings are located. You can press any file to watch it.
- Once you’ve found the recording you want, press and hold on it to select it. You can also select multiple recordings if needed.
- Then, go to the Three dots in the top-right corner, and choose either “Copy to” or “Move to”.
If you select “Copy to” , a copy will remain on the internal storage. “Move to” will transfer the files completely.
- Next, go to the Three dots in the top left and choose the SD card you’ve inserted.
- Choose the folder where you want to copy or move the files, and then press the “Blue Button” to start the transfer.
- To check the progress, Swipe Down from the top of the screen.
Once the transfer is complete, your screen recordings will be saved to your SD card. You can now safely remove the SD card and insert it into your computer.
DJI RC/RC 2 Export Process
Now onto the RC or RC2 process. As I mentioned earlier, this one is a bit more complicated.
- First, on the main menu screen, Swipe Down twice and tap the “Small cog icon” at the top right to access the system settings.
- Once in the system menu, we need to locate the screen recordings saved internally. Find “Storage” and click on it.
Here’s the important part: instead of navigating to “Photos and Videos” (where you might think the screen recordings are),
- go to Music and Audio > Audio . Because of how the Android system works, this folder should be empty, which will take you to the root folder structure.
- Now, you can access more file locations.
- Next, navigate to the top left and click on the Stacked menu icon.
- From there, select Videos > Movies and there are your screen recordings!
If you can’t see them, try clicking on the “This week” filter to display the most recent files.
- Once you’ve found the screen recording you want, press and hold it. The next step is the same as with the RC Pro.
- Tap the Three dots at the top right, select either “Copy to” or “Move to”
- then go to the stacked menu icon again, select your SD card, and navigate to the desired folder.
- Finally, press the Blue Button to start the transfer.
Wait for the transfer to complete, and just like that, the screen recordings from your controller are now saved to your SD card
